LAHORE - The Ali Embroidery Junior National Tennis Championship 2021 got underway on Monday here at the Punjab Tennis Academy, Bagh-e-Jinnah, in which players from across the country have been competing for top honours. PLTA Secretary Rashid Malik, who is also tournament director, said that 12 categories have been announced for the event, which include boys U-18 singles and doubles, girls U-18 singles and doubles, boys U-16, boys U-14 singles and doubles, boys/girls U-12 singles and doubles and boys/girls U-10. The opening ceremony will take place today (Tuesday) at 4:00 pm, where he will inaugurate the event. On Monday, in boys U-18 matches, Nalain Abbas beat Inam Qadir 6-1, 6-0, Farman Shakeel beat Muneeb Majeed 6-0, 6-2, Abdullah Adnan beat Zaeem Ghafoor 6-0, 6-1, Bilal Asim (SICAS) beat Arman Kamran 6-2, 6-2, Kashan Tariq beat Husnain Yousaf 6-1, 6-0 and Faizan Fayyaz beat M Ahtesham 7-6, 6-2.
