The word “mother”, means the world.

The mother is the child's first relationship. She is his whole world, his existence. My mother once said that children are like knives. They don’t mean to, but they cut. And, yet, we cling to them, don’t we? We clasp them until the blood flows. When trials heavy and sudden fall upon us, when adversity takes the place of prosperity, when friends desert us, and when trouble thickens around us. The mother will still cling to us, endeavour by her kind precepts, counsel to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts. But there's a story behind everything.

How did a picture get hung on a wall? How did your face get scarred? Sometimes the stories are simple, sometimes they are hard and heart-breaking. But, behind all of your stories, is always your mother's story, because hers is where yours begin.

I have loved you everyday, and, now, I will miss you everyday. My mother said the cure for thinking too much about yourself was helping somebody who was worse off than you. Without the comfort of your presence, the depth of your love, and the trickling sounds of your voice, I shall always feel thirsty.

She takes care of you when you are in her womb. She nurtures you after you are born. She hurts when you fall, she celebrates when you take your first steps. She is the only person who genuinely cares about you. She loves you as she loves herself. Her heart is your true paradise. There is no greater heaven than the heart of a loving mother. She is the only god whom we can, in fact, see.

Mothers care in volumes of tears and earnestness of prayers, and a depth of emotion others cannot fathom. A mother's hug is the only drug that works every time, costs nothing and has no side effects. Children never want a perfect mother – they need a little love, even if it comes from the most imperfect of mothers. Honour your mother; the mother of the Universe will guard you against harm. A wise mother is the unifying force between the father and children and a wholesome mother knows which software to delete, download, upgrade, and upload for the best results.

Her touch was my solace, her smile did encourage, her love was my strength. Her gaze, I fully remember, her care was my power, her joy was my shower, her anger corrected my path, her laughter filled my heart, her silence made me ponder. Her glare was my reminder, her embrace I never did lack.

She was my mother.
