LARKANA - All Sindh government employees are bound to get themselves vaccinated against coronavirus and after 30th September, no one should be allowed in police stations, courts or common places who are without vaccination.
This was directed by Commissioner, Larkana Division, Shafique Ahmed Mahesar, while presiding over a high level meeting of divisional administrative officers at his office on Saturday. He directed the participants that health department employees should get themselves vaccinated and they should also make awareness among the general public and bound them for this purpose.
He said, if the people were not vaccinated then after 15th October unvaccinated people would not be allowed to travel in buses, trains or any other means of transport. He directed all the five deputy commissioners of Larkana division to prepare a plan so that more people could be vaccinated against the pandemic adding vaccination cards of all visitors’ of your offices must also be checked regularly. He also advised SSPs to check vaccination cards of all the visitors of their offices as well.
Deputy Commissioner, Larkana, said that we would issue domicile certificates or any other certificate only to those who were vaccinated. Mahesar appreciated it and said that people at large should be motivated in a polite and lovable manner to get themselves vaccinated because it will save their precious lives. He further directed the participating DCs and DHOs to visit private medical clinics of doctors and ensure that patients and their attendants were vaccinated or else no one should be allowed. He said private clinics doctors should also be instructed and bound them to get their patients vaccinated or else their clinics would be sealed. He also issued the same instructions for government and private schools.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kambar-Shahdadkot, on the occasion said that they had some problems adding DHO and other healthcare staff were very weak in the district as they were irregular, habitual absconders and late comers during their government duties. Mahesar directed them to appoint an incharge who should monitor them constantly and submit reports for taking stern action. All SSPs, District Health Officers (DHOs), deputy commissioners and other relevant officers took part in the meeting.
Meanwhile, Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin — the spiritual leader of Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat — arrived in Karachi on Saturday on a seven-day visit. To receive the prominent leader, Sindh Governor Sindh Imran Ismail, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and other dignitaries arrived at the Karachi airport.
He arrived in Karachi at 10pm on a chartered flight of Pakistan International Airline (PIA). Police officials including inspector general for Sindh and Additional Inspector General for Karachi were also present at the airport. According to a government spokesperson, the Bohra community leader will be staying in Karachi as a special guest of the state.
He is being extended the protocol of a VVIP personality.
Police officials said that security arrangements made for the leader are equal to the security of the president and the prime minister.
