Senator Shibli Faraz has been appointed as the Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting.

In another development, Chairman CPEC Lt Gen (r) Asim Saleem Bajwa has been appointed as the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting after removal of Dr Firdous Aashiq Awan from the respective post. 

Senator Shibli is also serving as the Leader of House in the Senate.
