Islamabad police arrest 3 dacoits

ISLAMABAD - Aabpara police have arrested three active members of a robber gang involved in committing dacoity in a house at G-6 and recovered a wristwatch from their possession, informed a police spokesman on Tuesday.
According to the police spokesman, a gang of four robbers committed dacoity in a house located in G-6/3 on April 23 and fled after looting valuables. A heavy contingent of police rushed to the house on information where the 87-year-old house owner, Eid Badshah had already died of cardiac arrest. The police investigators have collected evidence and CCTV footage from the crime scene and recorded statements of the eyewitnesses besides shifting the body of house owner to PIMS for autopsy, the spokesman said. A case was registered with Police Station (PS) Aabpara under sections 302/392 against the robbers on the application of Abdul Rehman Khattak who nominated a former house servant Riaz in the FIR. Following the orders of IGP, the SSP directed SHO PS Aabpara SI Syed Asim Ali Zaidi and the team busted the gang by rounding up three of its active members Riaz, Dost Muhammad and Khushdil. Police are also carrying out raids to hold the fourth robber.
The IGP has appreciated the efforts of SSP and SHO in busting the gang of robbers.
