PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra says Local Government system will be introduced in FATA next year.

In an interview in Peshawar, he said that funds for annual development programme of FATA have been increased while it will also get a three percent share from the National Finance Commission.

The Governor lauded the sacrifices of security forces for restoration of peace and stability in the tribal areas.

He said that return of Temporarily Displaced Person’s (TDP’s) to their native areas would be completed in November this year.

Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said that the majority of the tribal people are in favour of a merger of FATA in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but in this regard, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will take the final decision.
