Gohar Ayub and son to meet PML-N chief

LAHORE – Former federal minister Gohar Ayub, his son Umar Ayub Khan, Raja Faisal Zaman and ex-KP speaker Habibullah Tarin will meet PML-N President Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at Raiwind on Thursday. Gohar Ayub Khan previously has been a  PML-N guy but after the 1999 coup, he remained on sideline of the politics for some time. In 2002, his son Umar Ayub contested elections on PML-Q ticket but Gohar Ayub could not due to graduation condition.  In February 2008, Umar also lost election. Later when a group of senior PML-Q leaders revolted against the election of Ch Shujaat as party president, they too left the Q-League for LM. But Gohar and Omar remained active in the group for some time in the beginning, and later they assumed political slumber. Although other leaders of the LM have reached seat adjustment with the PML-N, Gohar and Omar have decided to rejoin their old masters.
