Almost 12 cases of the Omicron variant of coronavirus have been detected in the provincial capital on Monday.

Sources privy to the provincial health department said that 12 cases of omicron variant of coronavirus in Lahore have been reported.

The sources said that seven patients belonged to Johar Town while five others were residents of Defense area.

The samples of patients were taken on December 23.
