Taliban kill US 'spy'

MIRANSHAH - A local tribesman was assassinated in Data Khel area of North Waziristan by Taliban militants on charges of spying for United States. As per details, the dead body of Mohammad Hussain was found Monday morning in Data Khel, some 35 kilometres away from Miranshah, headquarter of North Waziristan Agency. A hand-written chit was found along the dead body. The deceased was accused of 'spying for US. Right hand of the killed person was also imputed. The dead body was later on taken by relatives to home. Agencies add: "Hussain, who was kidnapped a week ago, had multiple bullet wounds in head and one of his hands was chopped off," a security official told AFP. A note found on Hussain's body said he was "spying for the US," the official said. Almost every week, militants kidnap and kill tribesmen, accusing them of spying for the Pakistani government or US forces operating across the border in Afghanistan, where Taliban fighters are leading an insurgency.
