Talks offer not a sign of weakness, says Iftikhar


SWAT - Awami National Party Swat observed 25th death anniversary of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan Known and seventh death anniversary of Khan Abdul Wali Khan at Wadudia Hall here on Friday.
The function was attended by ANP elected Minister for Science and Technology Ayub Khan Ashari, Minister for Information and Culture Mian Iftikhar Hussain, MNA Muzafarulmulk Kaki Khan, MPA Rahmat Ali Khan, MPA Wajid Ali Khan, MPA Shershah Khan, MPA Jafar Shah, MPA Waqar Khan, local leaders and thousands of workers and supporters, while chief guest was Minister for Information and Culture KPK Mian Iftikhar Hussain.
Addressing on the occasion parliamentary leader of ANP and Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that “ANP is not targeted in terrorist attacks but every politician and institution including GHQ and Kamra are also attacked by the terrorists and if it is the matter of national level then we should all sit together and think for its elimination”. He said that for the first time our party would call All Parties Conference (APC) soon and for this purpose, all political parties were contacted, adding that the ANP would never want to impose any agenda in the APC but all political parties would decide jointly that what should be done to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country.
Main Iftikhar furthermore said that few people criticise us that ANP government has been failed so if we are not able for the governance so who completed huge development projects of billions of rupees in the province, adding more that the ANP would participate in the next general elections on the basis of its performance and would win it again and rule the whole country.
The minister further stated that terrorists are not human beings and they have no religion and manners, because they have targeted our worships peaceful places, no one is safe from the terrorists brutal activities, he said but we are now still ready for dialogues with them but don’t term this act as our weak point, we are not feeling fear from this kind of activities but only for the innocent people we take this step, minister more expressed that we are doing work for peace and will be working as well, we paid rich tribute to all our martyred brothers , elders and fellows, as long as soldiers of Bacha Khan are alive they would never allow anyone to challenge the peace on the Pakhtuns land.
 Earlier Minister distributed Rs 3 lakh for martyr and Rs 1 lakh compensation for injured 22 victims of Tablighi Markaz blast.
While MPA Sher Shah Khan briefed the occasion on the lives of both leaders and vowed to continue their mission of peace and love. They said that the nation should learn a lesson from the plight of Afghan refugees and safeguard the ideological borders of their country. They claimed that the Pakhtun nation played a key role in the independence of Pakistan.
