Reham Khan terms general elections as 'dirtiest'

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan's ex-wife, Reham Khan, said that power isn't easy and Imran will have to make compromises which will prove in the next few days if Imran is ready for the country's top slot.

Reham Khan was talking to Indian news channel, saying that she was surprised the Pakistani nation was shocked with the result of the election when it had been clear.

Reham remarked about the election results that even international media is surprised by the results and claiming recent elections as the dirtiest one ever. However, Reham said that she could not have imagined that it would be this dirty.

Moreover, she said that that people have been calling Imran 'prime minister-select' for some time now.

She added, "We have been calling him the prime minister select for some time now and I've been saying for a few weeks now that he has been waiting to be crowned. But heavy is the head that wears the crown."

She further remaked, "The crown comes at a huge price: his integrity," adding, "It has cost him all of his integrity, which is a tragic fall for a hero."

Reham further added the crown comes with a lot of compromises.

While commenting on Imran's foreign policy, she said that in the past Imran and his ministers have said some controversial things when it came to foreign policy matters.

Earlier, on July 26, after unofficial results declared PTI as the winner in general election 2018, Imran Khan addressed the nation and laid out his future government's policy directions.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released provisional results of 251 out of 270 National Assembly (NA) seats that were polled on July 25 across the country.

According to the results, the PTI is leading the NA tally with 110 NA seats.
