8 persons drown in Attock

ATTOCK  -   Eight persons drowned at different locations in Attock district. In the first incident, a 50-year-old woman r/o village Bahtar along with her two daughters and a son had gone to river Haro to wash clothes. Suddenly, her ten-year-old daughter went into deep waters. She jumped to rescue her but could not. Seeing this, her 12-year-old son and 14-year-old daughter also jumped into river to rescue their mother but all of them drowned. Locals are trying to recover the dead bodies. In second incident, a 16-year-old boy Abdul Manan r/o village Mirza drowned in river Haro. In the third incident, 35-year-old Mohsin r/o Hatian drowned in Ghazi Barotha power channel. Both the dead bodies were recovered by Rescue 1122 personnel and shifted to CMH Attock and DHQ Hospital Attock respectively. Yet in another tragic incident, two boys Umer and Aamir r/o village Pind Sirhal drowned in river Indus. Their dead bodies could not be recovered till the filing of this report.
