Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar has stated on Tuesday that the overall spending in the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) for the year 2020-21 has surpassed the set target for the corresponding year by Rs9 billion to Rs659 billion.
“Total PSDP spending in 2020-21 was Rs659 billion vs a target of target of 650 billion or 101.4%,” he tweeted.
It has been revealed by the Minister that it is the highest development funds utilization ever witnessed since 2011-12.
He concluded by stating that “In a year of COVID restrictions, this exceptionally high development spending reflects resolve of Prime Minister Imran Khan to accelerate growth.”
