PMAP, Jamaat unfold candidates for elections






QUETTA – The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party and Jamaat-e-Islami have announced their candidates to contest the upcoming general elections at the National Assembly and Provincial Assembly seats.
The PMAP, which has been allotted tree as it election symbol, would field its 30 candidates at NA and PA seats, said party’s secretary information Raza Muhammad Raza while addressing a news conference here on Tuesday. He said party president Mehmood Khan Achakzai would contest elections from NA-259 Quetta and NA-262 Qila Abdullah while Abdul Rahim Khan Mandokhel NA-260 Quetta-Chagai, Muhammad Essa Khan Roshan NA-261 Pishin-Ziarat, Akthar Shah Kadezai NA-263 Loralai-Musakhel Barkhan, Raza Muhammad NA-264-Qila Saifullah, Ahmed Jan Khan NA-265 Sibi-Harnai-cum-Kohlu.
Similarly, on Balochistan Assembly seats, he said Haji Zaheerud Din Rajput would contest elections from PB-1 Quetta-1, Haji Umar Quresh PB-2, Nawab Ayaz Jogezai PB-3 Quetta-3, Sardar Muhammad Raza Barech PB-4 Quetta, Manzoor Ahmed Kakar PB-6 Quetta, Dr Hamid Khan Achakzai PB-11 Chaman and PB-19 Zhob Abdul Qayyum Khan Advocate.
He said that the names of candidate contesting elections from other provinces would soon be disclosed adding that so far they had not made seat-to-seat adjustment with any party; however, the doors for dialogues were opened for all political parties.
Similarly, the JI also announced to contest elections at 11 National Assembly and 30 Balochistan Assembly seats.
JI Balochistan Amir Abdul Matin Akhundzada flanked by other party leaders named Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi for NA-259 Quetta City, Zahid Akthar Baloch NA-260 Quetta-Nushki-Chagai, Syed Amanullah Shahdezai NA 261 Pishin Ziarat while Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi PB-1, Abdul Rahim Mir Dad Khel PB-2, Mir Ghulam Rashool Muhammad Shahi PB-5 and Syed Nazir Shah PB-Pishin 1.
