ATTOCK - Attock will be made an education city where a chartered university, medical college and school of paramedics will be available, said Provincial Minister for Social Welfare and Baitulmal Syed Yawar Abbas Bukhari while addressing concluding ceremony of Annual Sports 2022 at Graduate College Attock.
Principal Professor Majid Waheed Bhatti, Deputy Director Colleges Professor Arshad Khan, Regional Director AIOU Lahore Malik Amin Ullah, faculty members and students were present at the occasion. Minister assured that all the demands of the college will be met and the development grant worth Rs 35 million will be spent as per the requirement of the college on the recommendation of the principal. During the last four years, Rs 12 billion have been allocated and are being spent on education, health, sports and infrastructure and other development projects in Attock.
He lauded the efforts of the principal and his team for arranging Annual Sports 2022 after a long time. Principal Bhatti in his welcome address informed about centenary celebrations to be held next year.
Later, the chief guest distributed trophies and prizes to the winning teams of a hurdle race, tug of war, 100-meter race, pillow fight, cycle race and other sports.
