ISLAMABAD - The Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Office Islamabad on Friday started operation against tax evadors across the city. 
The raids on different businesses were carried out in which it was found that M/s Shams Super Market Islamabad, M/s Mc Donald F-9 Park Islamabad and Street 01 cafe Islamabad in involved in tax evasion. 
To calculate the exact amount of tax evasion, the tax authorities imposed section 40B and deputed there staff on these restaurants. 
Sources informed that the regional tax office staff will remain present in these food outlets for next one month to find out their actual sales. During raids, it was also found that Point of Sales software is also not installed on these restaurants to evade the tax. 
Earlier, it was agreed between tax authorities that the Islamabad Restaurants Association that the association would have no issues with instalment of point of sales system on their restaurants across the city.
The system is to help visitors in checking the originality of invoice given to them against their orders whereas it also helps FBR to recover maximum taxes that were otherwise being under invoiced by the hotel owners.
Sources informed that the regional tax commissioner ordered to continue raiding different restaurants randomly to check their sales.
