ISLAMABAD - The meeting of High Powered Selection Board (HPSB) meeting is likely to be held in the first week of November to review promotion cases of Grade-21 officers of different groups to next grade, The Nation has learnt reliably.
According to the officials, Prime Minster Imran Khan will chair the meeting and Secretary Cabinet and Secretary Establishment Divisions, Special Assistant to PM on Establishment Shahzad Arbab and Secretary to PM would be part of the meeting. The meeting would review promotion cases of over 30 officers of Grade-21 of different services groups. The meeting is pending for the last six months. The PM had postponed the meeting for months in last week of August, 2021.
They said that the board would review promotion cases of different officers of different services groups including Qazi Shahid Pervez, Mozzam Jah Ansari, Jawad Pal, Dr Kamran Afzal, Zulifqar Haider, Jowdat Ayaz, Shakeel Ahmed, Maqadas Khan, Abdul Aziz Aqeeli and Usman Chachar.
The Establishment Division had finalised the panels of senior officers of Grade-21 of different services groups for HPSB meeting and also written to Prime Minister to convene the board meeting in July 2021. The incumbent government had arranged the last promotion boards meeting in November last year. According to the services rules promotion board should be held after every six months, they added.
