KANDHKOT - At least three people were killed in a landmine explosion in village Malguzari near Tangwani town, a bordering area of Balochistan and Sindh provinces, on Wednesday.
Three people of Dera Bugti were on their way to home on a tractor trolley. When they reached the bordering area of Sindh-Balochistan near Tangwani town, their vehicle hit a landmine which exploded with a bang. They were killed on the spot. Later their bodies were identified as Pir Bux Bugti, Bilawal Bugti and Meer Khan. The tractor trolley was completely damaged. Sound of the blast was also heard at a long distance. After the incident, locals and police rushed to the spot and removed the bodies to nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities. Police cordoned off the area and started a search operation. The area was later cleared. No case was registered till filing of this report.
Agencies add: The landmine blast occurred in Sui area of Dera Bugti district early Wednesday. Levies sources, however, said the incident took place in Hamzani village.
Police and security forces reached the spot and collected the evidence.
The bodies were shifted to nearby hospital for autopsy, a private news channel reported.
The bodies were handed over to the heirs after legal formalities.
