ISLAMABAD - 11Ith conference on protection of faith in the final prophethood of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) was held at the shrine of Hazrat Pir Mehr Ali Shah at Golra Sharif the other day. The conference was presided over by Sajjada Nashin Golra Sharif, Pir Syed Shah Abdul Haq Gilani. According to a press release issued here, various speakers addressing the conference highlighted the services of Hazrat Pir Mehr All Shah in rejecting the claims of Qadiani faith and protecting the Muslim belief in the final prophethood of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). They also said that belief in the last prophethood of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is the foundation of Islam and Islam provides for safety of life and property of all non Muslim minorities. One hundred and eleven years ago, on August 25, Hazrat Pir Mehr Ali Shah in his encounter with the Qadiani movement very convincingly and conclusively exposed the fallacy of Qadiani faith. This was a milestone in the history of his services for Islam. The news of his victory spread out throughout the Islamic world, Since then all Muslim historians, scholars and writers have acknowledged the role of Hazrat Pir Mehr Ali Shahs intellectual and spiritual leadership in uniting the Muslim Ummah and defeating the Qadiani movement. He saved Muslim Urnmah from an irrepairable loss with his distinguished intellectual contributions. Pir Sahib was both a man of Shariah and Tariqah and he united the entire Muslim Ummah. Speakers paid tributes to Pir Ghulam Moinul Haq Gilani on organising that conference. Scholars, sufis and intellectuals from different schools of thought and walks of life participated in the conference. Conference ended with a prayer by Pir Shah Abdul Haq Gilani and participants were served with lftar dinner.
