KARACHI - Board of Intermediate Education Karachi has announced the results of the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) Part-II Pre-Medical Annual Examination with all the top three positions have once again been fetched by girl candidates of a private institution.
Aga Khan Higher Secondary School has got all the top three positions in the examinations.
The percentage of the said results is 55.65 per cent, which is higher than the last year’s results. Samina Islam Hirani d/o Ismail Hirani obtained first position with 89.45 per cent marks out of total 1100 marks, Kiran Amin d/o Muhammad Amin got second position with 89.27 per cent and Kinza Murtaza d/o Babar Murtaza secured third position with 88.72 per cent.
On the other hand, two students of Adamjee Govt Science College, namely Adeel Ahmed Khan s/o Irfan Ahmed and Syed Shahrukh Pervez s/o Syed Muhammad Shams bagged 4th and 8th positions respectively with 88.45 per cent and 87.63 per cent marks.
Meha Siddiqui d/o Mahboob Ahmed and Aliya Mahmood d/o Fazal Mahmood of BAMM PECHS Government College for Women have obtained 5th and 6th positions with 88.27 and 88 per cent marks.
Yusra Rizvi d/o Syed Tahir Imam Rizvi of DA Degree College for Women, Phase VII obtained 7th position with 87.90 per cent marks, while Syed Deshia Iqbal d/o Syed Iqbal Hussain Shirazi of Bahria College (Karsaz) got 8th position with 87.63 per cent marks.
In the results of HSC Part-II Science Pre-Medical Annual Examination, as many as 24 public and private colleges secured less than 10 per cent results, while, as per the rule, affiliation of those institutions who have failed to produce more than 33 per cent results can be cancelled.
As per statistics, a total of 16,953 candidates were registered in the examination out of which 16,737, including 3,195 male and 13,542 female, appeared while 9,314 (1397 male, 7917 female) candidates declared to be passed. A total of 1,001 candidates got A-One grade in the examinations, 2,422 passed in A, 2,718 in B Grade, 2,339 in C Grade, 805 in D grade and only 29 candidates declared to be passed in E grade.
