Pak-US talks to bolster trade, investment

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan and United States (US) on Monday agreed that ongoing negotiations between the two countries would create a positive impact on the economic as well as political relations.
A meeting between Federal Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs, Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh and US delegation led by Senior Director US Trade Representative Ms Kimblerley Claman held here on Monday.
The meeting discussed the ongoing negotiations between Pakistan and US in trade and investment sector. The meeting aimed to enhance bilateral investment and trade relations between US and Pakistan.
The meeting discussed different aspects of contemporary negotiations on bilateral trade and investment between US and Pakistan.
Both sides agreed that these negotiations will create a big positive impact on economic as well as political relations between the two countries. Secretary Commerce, Secretary Finance, Secretary Economic Affairs Division, DG Board of Investments were also present in the meeting.
