Shortfall rises: power outages on the rise

Power shortfall is gaining momentum across Punjab including Lahore as the power shortfall rose to 3832 MW in the country Tuesday.
According to Power Management Cell report, the energy production remained 13790 MW while the consumption was 17022 MW across the country. Hence the shortfall rose to 3832MW, it reported.
Loadshedding continued for eight to ten hours a day as well as during the night in the provincial capital Lahore badly affecting the daily life of the citizens and business activities.
Loadshedding period has increased for 14 to 16 hours in small cities and towns of the province.
