BHC CJ for swift justice to masses

QUETTA - Balochistan High Court Chief Justice Muhammad Noor Meskanzai remarked on Wednesday that judiciary should swiftly decide cases to dispense of justice.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of newly-constructed Martyred Lawyers Block on the premises of District Sessions Court, Meskanzai clarified that no delay would be tolerated in providing justice. He hoped that judges would meet the expectations.

The BHC CJ remarked that militants were targeting people from all walks of life and communities including women, children, police and military men.

Meskanzai said the terrorists attacked lawyers with an aim to deprive people of justice and create uncertainty in society, but their ulterior motives will be thwarted by giving timely justice to masses.

The chief justice also termed the corruption a menace for society and said role of every citizen was indispensable for wiping out this bane from the country.

He said walkthrough gates and scanners had been installed in Balochistan which were functioning.

Describing the August 8 deadly Civil Hospital suicide attack, Justice Muhammad Noor Meskanzai articulated that the lawyers’ community had to do hard work after the carnage and provide timely justice to people in a manner that could frustrate terrorists’ designs. He said lawyers were targeted to deprive people of justice.

BHC Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail, Justice Hashim Khan Kakar, Advocate General Balochistan Amanullah Khan, President Balochistan Bar Association Shah Muhammad Jatoi and Kamran Murtaza also addressed the ceremony.
