PM appoints Irfan Siddiqui as special adviser

ISLAMABAD : Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif has appointed columnist Irfan Siddiqui as his Special Adviser on National Affairs. The post will be equal to the status of a federal minister. On Monday, Siddiqui called on Nawaz at the PM house. The meeting lasted for quite a while in which PM Nawaz decided to assign senior columnist and analyst Irfan Siddiqui the key post of advisor. The PM said he has full confidence in the senior journalist. Siddiqui has served as the press secretary of former president Rafiq Tarar during Nawaz Sharif's second run in office.
