Bahawalpur - Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that strengthening of institutions is the top priority of the government as this will help to solve problems at the grass root level.
Health Card is a gift of the government to the poor people, he said. He was speaking on the occasion of his meeting with various delegations of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) at Circuit House Bahawalpur on his arrival in Bahawalpur on Thursday.
Vice Chancellor Islamic University Bahawalpur Engineer Prof. Dr. Athar Mehboob, Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Irfan Ali Kathia, DSP Bahawalpur Muhammad Fayyaz-ul-Haq and other district officers were also present on the occasion. He directed that the government would utilize all its resources for the development and prosperity of South Punjab and the promises made to the people would be fulfilled.
Talking to party delegations, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government came to power with an agenda of public service and prosperity and we only want development and prosperity of Pakistani people for which federal and Punjab government
He further said that the present government has also issued a justice card for providing basic health services to the people and resolving the financial difficulties faced in this regard. Governor Punjab said that the hard work, humanity and patriotism of the Pakistani doctors during the Corona epidemic was commendable.

He further said that medical universities of Punjab have also been working on the front line during the corona epidemic. All institutions, including parlement and democracy, are getting stronger because the strength of institutions is infact the strength of Pakistan, he added.
He said that I would like to say to all political parties that they want politics of national interest instead of personal politics. Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said that more than 1200 projects of Punjab Water Supply Authority are being implemented across Punjab.
He said Insha-Allah, by March, Punjab Water and Pak Authority and NGOs will jointly provide clean drinking water to 1.5 crore people of Punjab. Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said that special plans are being intensified for the provision of clean water for South Punjab also.
Governor Punjab said that local bodies elections of Punjab are starting from May. Democracy will be further strengthened in Pakistan, he stated. He vowed that the development and prosperity of the people was the first priority of the government and no compromise would be made on this issue.
