'More protests if Qadri not released

LAHORE Demanding immediate release of Mumtaz Qadri, the participants of Namoos-e-Risalat conference have asserted that the government has no reason to detain killer of a blasphemer after setting Raymond Davis free. They also warned the government of a countrywide protest movement if Mumtaz Qadri was not released. They also blasted the rulers for the failure to resolve problems of the masses. Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan organised the conference at Atiq stadium on Sunday. Ameer Jamat-e-Ahle-Sunna Mian Abdul Khaliq presided over the conference. Ameer JUP Dr Abu-al-Khair Muhammad Zubair said that the rulers have sold out national integrity by releasing Raymond Davis on the US instructions. He said that the rulers were merely acting as the US slaves and blindly following directions while the masses were forced to commit suicide. He said that the government has miserably failed on all fronts and the country has become bankrupt due to weak economic policies. JUP Secretary General Qari Zawar Bahadur urged the government to register strong protest with the US on the desecration of Holy Quran at Florida Church. He asked the government to break all the agreements with US if it did not arrest and hand over Terry Jones and Wyne Sapp to the Muslims. He said that there was no logic of Mumtaz Qadris trail after the release of Raymond Davis.
