| Nawabzada family of Gujrat meets Punjab CM

 LAHORE  - PML-N President and Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif called on PNL-N Quaid Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at Raiwind on Sunday and discussed with him host of issues including the current political situation.

Party sources said that issues relating to caretaker setup, award of party tickets, party’s election campaign and NAB cases pending against the Sharif family came under discussion during the meeting. Shehbaz Sharif also briefed his elder brother on the current status of different development projects which have been completed and those nearing completion, said the sources.

Meanwhile, Punjab Assembly members from Gujrat and members of Nawabzada family called on Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif at Model Town on Sunday. Those who visited the chief minister included Federal Minister for Defence Production Usman Ibrahim, Members National Assembly Nawabzada Mazhar Ali Khan, Chaudhry Abid Raza, Adviser to CM Nawabzada Tahirul Mulk, Member Provincial Assembly Nawabzada Haider Mehdi, former member of National Assembly Nawabzada Ghaznfar Ali Gul and Nawabzada Muzaffar Ali Khan. Member National Assembly Hamza Shehbaz Sharif was also present on this occasion.

During the meeting, the PML-N leaders from Gujrat expressed their full confidence in the leadership of Shehbaz Sharif. Nawabzada family agreed to make Nawabzada Ghazanfar Ali Gul as a unanimous candidate of the National Assembly. Nawabzada Ghazanfar Ali Gul will be the candidate for the National Assembly of PML (N) from Gujranwala. Nawabzada family while conversing with the chief minister said that they had full confidence in his leadership as the performance of Punjab under his leadership was an example for other provinces. “People of Gujrat love you whole heartedly,” they added.

On this occasion, Shehbaz said PML-N was Pakistan’s largest and most popular party. “We are proud of our initiatives taken for welfare of people in last 05 years,” he said, adding that people will vote on the basis of performance in upcoming elections. “Those who are involved in the politics of impeachment and leveling baseless allegation on others, their days have been numbered,” he said.

Shehbaz said the time of negative politics and chaos had ended and hoped that they will be successful in general elections with the grace of Allah Almighty and public support.

Also, Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique called on Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif here on Sunday.

Chief Minister on this occasion said that the five-year tenure of PML (N) was enriched with development, prosperity and transparency. “We have spent resources on the welfare of people honestly that is why the transparent policies of the Muslim League (N) government have been acknowledged internationally.”

He said that projects of CPEC had laid firm foundation of Pakistan’s progress and prosperity. Shehbaz said that public service can’t be achieved through hollow slogans, but one has to work hard selflessly for it. He said that the elements that have hindered the journey of happiness and progress of public were now being isolated politically. “Even the people recognize our performance as we have served them selflessly.”, he shared and vowed further that “We will not leave any stone unturned to assist our people as long as we live.”  Khawaja Saad Rafiq said that development work of Shehbaz were  self-exemplary and credit for savings of billion rupees in development projects went to the astute and inspiring leadership of Shehbaz Sharif.
