PTI leader Salman Akram Raja resigns as secretary general

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Salman Akram Raja resigned as PTI's secretary general on Thursday.

His resignation followed criticism for not playing an active role in the recent PTI protests in Islamabad.

Raja submitted his resignation to the party leadership, which was confirmed by PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar.

Raja, a senior lawyer, was appointed by Imran Khan as secretary general in September.

His lack of involvement in the protests led to severe criticism within the party.
