ISLAMABAD - The Ministry of Defence has sent the names of four vice admirals to the Presidency for the appointment of new naval chief. The four vice admirals include Asif Sandela, Tanveer Faiz, Abbas Raza and Tayyab Ali Dogar. Vice Admiral Asif Sandela is Chief of the Staff, Admiral Tanvir Faiz is the Principal Staff Officer, Vice Admiral Abbas Raza is Commander Pak Fleet. Vice Admiral Asif Sandela is the senior most, Tanveer Faiz is the second senior-most vice admiral while Vice Admiral Abbas Raza is the third in the seniority list but he is likely to become naval chief. Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Noman Bashir is retiring on October 7, 2011.
