Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway quality not good: Dharejo

KARACHI - Failure to start work on Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway is a result of incompetence of the federal government despite releasing of fund for the project. The quality of Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway is also not good. The quality of motorways being built in other provinces is much better.

This was stated by Provincial Minister for Industries & Commerce and Cooperative Department Jam Ikramullah Dharejo while talking to media in Sindh Assembly Building on Monday. He said that the performance of the federal government was a question mark. He said: “We demand from the federal government to stop treating Sindh like a step-mother. The attitude of the federal government towards Sindh is beyond comprehension. Sindh water is also being stolen. Due to which our crops are drying up and the farmers of Sindh are helpless.”

The minister said that the incompetence of the federal government had become a torment for the people. He questioned: “Where is the federal package of Rs1,100 billion announced for Sindh province?” If the federation does a little development work, then it is the right of the people of Sindh. Sindh province pays the highest taxes but when it comes to development projects, we get nothing.
