KARACHI (PPI) - City District Government Karachi has issued NOC to construct monument for 18 October 2008 carnage victims in a park beneath Karsaz Flyover, a press release issued from Peoples Secretariat Sindh said. District Officer Coordination issued the letter No DO/ CDGK 49{010 to Peoples Party Sindh Information Secretary Waqar Mehdi on behalf of Administrator Karachi. It is pertinent to mention here that 170 activists and supporters of PPP were martyred while 575 were injured in tragedy of 18 October 2008 while slain leader of PPP Benazir Bhutto was returning to the country from exile.
