GUJRANWLA - Inspector General of Punjab Police Tariq Saleem Dogar has said that he is proud of Gujranwala region police performance which is inspirational for other regions as well. He stated this while addressing annual dinner of Gujranwala police at Jinnah Stadium which was attended by more than 600 intellectuals and cops. The IGP added that Gujranwala region had proved its worth by public friendly policing for the masses and never spared anyone from long arms of the law. He said, Thats why gulf between the masses and police in the region cannot be seen and all credit goes to RPO Zulfiquar Ahmad Cheema whose bold and rational leadership created new inspiration in Police officers and jawans. DIG Zulfiquar Ahmad Cheema while addressing the participants said that police high command worked with courage and on scientific basis to eliminate kidnappers and hired assassins from the region. Earlier, the IGP, DIG and others distributed recovered looted cash and other valuables to their owners while awarded cash prizes of more than Rs.2.5 million to officers and jawans of Police.
