A noble profession

“A teacher is not a king but he creates many kings.” Teachers are very valuable and most important for any nation for its development. A teacher is an educator of the nation.

Education is a very essential sector of a nation. Unfortunately, our education sector is the weakest.

Our Makran division consists of three huge districts: Kech, Punjgoor, and Gwadar have almost no qualified and trained teachers in primary section sectors. The whole division’s most JV (Junior Vernacular, an old education system) teachers who teach in basic classes are mostly uneducated in both rural and urban areas. These people get their degree of intermediate with the support of others. They will on their own have no education but still, they get the job of JV teaching the support of political leaders or other powerful people. It’s a job of huge responsibility but still without thinking it is being given to an uneducated person which is keeping the lives of many children at risk. They don’t have knowledge and experience of teaching even though they don’t know what education is. How come they teach a kid about education?

Due to the bad teachings, the kids lose interest in education from the beginning. The wrong understanding of education disheartens students from school and education. These uneducated teachers misteach the kids and they prefer the wrong path, not education.

However, these uneducated teachers are risking many kids’ future and the whole nation, as they are the future of the nation. Many skilful people can’t get these jobs as they don’t have powerful hands but they deserve these jobs.

ATTA NAZEER,

Gwadar.
