PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety Authority (KPFSA) continued raids against unhygienic food in the provincial capital and district Charsadda and recovered over 2000kg sub-standard miss-label custard powder from a warehouse in Hashtnagri.
Talking to media persons on Saturday, an official of the KPFSA said that operations against unhygienic food are underway to ensure food safety to the people.
He said that a case has been registered against the owners of the warehouses for manufacturing miss label custard powder, besides imposing heavy fines. In another raid by the FSA, he said, a restaurant was sealed in Hashtnagri for violating hygiene norms. He said more than 2500 litters of unhealthy vinegar, 700kg of substandard custard powder was recovered in Charsadda Tangi while heavy fine was imposed on the owner.
