KARACHI - Karachi Royals clinched the trophy after beating Khairpur Knights 1-0 in the final of the 2nd All-Sindh Inter-District Mixed Football Tournament that was organized by Thar Foundation in collaboration with Diya Women Football Club (DWFC). The event was hosted in Thar Block II, with the final being played in Mirpurkhas. Eight participating teams hailed from Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Khairpur, Sukkar, Mirpukhas and Tharparkar. The highest goal-scorer of the tournament was Ali Shan (Karachi Royals), best goalkeeper Ibrahim Khan (Karachi), best defender Javeria Ejaz (Karachi), best midfielder Alishba Khan (Khairpur) and best striker Hamza Ali (Mirpurkhas). The finale was graced by Provincial Minister of Sindh for Minorities Affairs, Social Welfare, and Prisons, MPA and Ex-Senator Hari Ram Kishori Lal, Additional Commissioner Mirpurkhas Ali Nawaz Bhout and Ambassador and Promoter of Technical and Vocational Education Waheeda Mahesar, as chief guests, who acknowledged the efforts of Thar Foundation in creating a platform for the children to showcase their skills through their favorite sport.
