Consumers plundered by fake franchise

A fake franchise plundered the people by collecting utility bills from consumers at Kot Murad Khan in the limits of B Division police.
Shafqat, the relative of a Lesco official, had launched the fake franchise for collection of utility bills and after collecting millions of rupees disappeared. The fact revealed when the people received their bills in January with arrears of December along with fine.
When the people rushed to the franchise, it was locked and the accused was nowhere in sight. Then they contacted with the Lesco office which denied any connection with the plunderer. The affected people demanded a case registration against the conman.
Meanwhile, robbers deprived various people of their valuables at gunpoint in three strikes in Pattoki police precincts.
In the first incident, one Faqeer Hussain was at his home along with his wife when two unidentified robbers held them at gunpoint and took away gold ornaments, a cell phone and cash.
Likewise, two unidentified robbers entered the shop of one Muhammad Imran and held the shopkeeper and the customers present there at gunpoint and fled away with their cash, cell phones and other valuables. In another such strike, robbers deprived one Ehsanullah of Subhan Colony of his motorcycle, cash and cell phone.
POOR SECURITY: The broad daylight bank robbery has allegedly revealed the security incompetence of the bank branch where the CCTV cameras were non-functional for the last month.
Reportedly, five bandits snatched Rs2 million after holding the officials and the customers at gunpoint on Fatima Jinnah Road bank branch here the other day. The bandits also injured guard and footage could not be shoot due to faulty Close Circuit Cameras installed at the bank branch.
The police still failed to find any clue of the robbers. However, Urban Area Police have registered case against unidentified accused persons.
TWO INJURED IN DACOITY: Unidentified dacoits injured driver of a truck and his helper when they offered resistance in the remits of Jhal Chakkian Police here the other night.
Reportedly, two armed bandits intercepted an oranges laden truck near Haiderabad town and opened indiscriminate fire when truck driver and conductor offered resistance.
Resultantly, the driver Shah Wali and conductor Yousaf received bullet injuries. Both wounded were rushed to DHQ hospital by the passersby. The Jhal Chakkian Police have registered a case against unknown accused.
