QUETTA - A teenage girl was raped and killed in the provincial capital by unidentified accused.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qadoos Bizenjo taking the notice of the incident has sought a report from authorities concerned.
“My child was strangled to death,” Muhammad Salim, father of the victim girl, told media in Quetta’s Killi Islamai locality.
According to details, body of 13-year-old Tayyeba with torture marks was found in Quetta. The body was shifted to hospital for postmortem. Surgeon Dr Noor Baloch said that medical report has confirmed that the girl was raped and strangled to death.
SSP Investigation said that a case has been registered into the incident and investigation was under way.
COP SHOT DEAD IN QUETTA
Unidentified armed men gunned down a police constable on Sunday in Quetta and escaped.
According to police, armed assailants targeted Ahmed Khan near Shahwani Stadium at Sariab Road. The cop succumbed to bullet injuries on the spot while rescue team shifted his body to Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Security forces cordoned off the area and started a search operation.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudus Bizenjo expressed sorrow over the killing of the cop and instructed the IG police to take practical steps for the arrest of culprits.
FC RECOVERS WEAPONS, AMMUNITION
Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan along with intelligence agencies carried out Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs) on terrorist hideouts in Dera Bugti and Chattar, Lehri areas and recovered weapons and ammunition.
According to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement issued in Rawalpindi on Sunday, the recovered weapons and ammunition included Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), rocket launcher, submachine guns, anti-personnel mines, hand grenades, accessories of different weapons and large quantity of various calibre ammunition.
