HAFIZABAD - For the first time in the history of Hafizabad an MNA from the district has been inducted into cabinet as Federal Minister. People belonging to all shades of opinion have welcomed the nomination of MNA Ch Liaqat Abbas Bhatti as Federal Minister.

Bhatti was first elected Nazim UC and later elected MNA in 2002 general election on the PML-Q ticket. He was re-elected MNA from NA-103 and PP-107 in 2008 elections. However, he remained loyal to the PML-Q since 2008. Though he belongs to feudal family, yet his policies always been pro-people and during the past 9 years he ensured provision of sui gas, electricity and infrastructures to people in his constituency.  He is younger brother of Ch Mehdi Hassan Bhatti has also been MPA and MNA from 1985 to 2002. He is uncle former Provincial Minister for Culture Ch. Shaukat Ali Bhatti is also a known politician.

Meanwhile, a rousing welcome awaits Ch Liaqat Abbas Bhatti on arrival after taking oath of as Federal Minister in his hometown on Sunday. According to the PML-Q sources, he will be brought to the city in a motorcade of about 500 vehicles. PPP workers would also arrange historic welcome on his arrival here.
