NAB initiates process to declare Ishaq Dar proclaimed offener

National Accountability Court (NAB) has started the process to declare former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar as proclaimed offender as he repeatedly failed to appear in the court for graft case hearing against him.

The process has been started by pasting a notice outside accountability court asking Ishaq Dar to appear in the court within next 10 days or else he will be declared as proclaimed offender.

Earlier, the accountability court declared Ishaq Dar an absconder and warned his guarantors of confiscating of surety bonds worth Rs 50million.

Ishaq Dar is in London where he is receiving treatment for cardiac issues.

The guarantor Quddusi has assured the court to present Ishaq Dar in three weeks in front of the court.

The proceedings for confiscating of surety bonds held today at NAB court but neither Dar's guarantor Quddusi nor his lawyer came to the court till 12 noon.
