Argentina knock Pakistan out of Jr Hockey World Cup

LAHORE - Argentina defeated Pakistan by 4-3 in a tough and thrilling pre-quarterfinal match of the World Junior Hockey Cup in Bhubaneswar, India and also booked berth in the quarterfinals. 
In the fast-paced game, Pakistan junior hockey team, which has been participating in the Junior Hockey World Cup after long-awaited eight years, kept a veteran team like Argentina in trouble. Argentina’s Capurro Bautista scored a field goal in the 10th minute of the game which was equalized in the 17th minute of the game by Pakistan captain Rana Abdul Waheed on a beautiful pass from his teammate Rizwan Ali on a penalty corner. 
In the 20th minute of the game, Argentina’s Nardolillo Ignacio scored a field goal and once again established the lead of Argentina. In the 28th minute of the game, Pakistan got a penalty stroke which was successfully converted by Rizwan Ali and the match was tied once again at 2-2. In the closing moments of the second quarter, Argentina’s Ruiz Francisco scored the third goal through a field goal, giving Argentina 3-2 lead. Argentina’s Ibarra Ignacio further enhanced Argentina’s lead to 4-2 through a field goal. 
In the 53rd minute of the game, Aqeel Ahmed scored the third goal for Pakistan, making it 4-3. No more goal was scored by either side, thus Argentina won the match 4-3 and also a place in quarterfinals. In the next match, Pakistan will be competing with USA for event ranking on November 30 at 1:00 pm PST.
