Heirs of missing girl fail to get FIR registered

ISLAMABAD Despite a month long extensive efforts, the hapless family of the minor girl Zainab Bibi who went missing from her masters home on 28th August this year, her family members have not yet succeeded even to lodge First Informant Report (FIR) with police for her safe recovery. The thirteen-year old girl Zainab Bibi, who was hired by Nofal Hassan a resident of House 9-C, Street 33, Sector F-7/1, Islamabad, as a caretaker for his small children, went missing from her masters home on 28th August, 2010. She started working at Nofals home on 14th August and after two weeks of joining, she suddenly disappeared. Broth-er of the girl, Zarshad Ali told TheNation the no one inform-ed them regarding Zainabs disappearance and they came to know about the story thro-ugh newspapers. Since then we are running from pillar to post to lodge complaint and FIR against Nofal Hassan, who also happens to be an owner a guesthouse in the posh locality of the capital but the police officials are reluctant to file FIR against the accused. He said that according to Zanibs master she went out of the house early in the morning on August 28th and did not return. The brother of the disappeared girl said that they belonged to Charsadda and their 13-year-old sister was innocent. He said it was not possible that Zainab fled on her own rather she was made to get disappear from the scene in an extremely brutal and obnoxious manner. The family of Zainab alleges that the owner and some of his servants have a hand in disappearance of the girl and therefore, an FIR must be registered against all the suspects. It has also been learnt that in this regard the National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW) has written formal letter to IGP Islama-bad Kaleem Imam but according to NCSWs representatives nothing has been done so far, although they were persistent in follow up with police to rescue the missing girl. When approached Muna-war Mahar, SHO Kohsar Police Station Islamabad said that he was ready to lodge FIR of a missing girl. However, the family of the girl said that they want to specifically name in the FIR the family where the missing girl was working. He said that according to Zanibs master she went on her own with her three dresses. So far noting is clear and I dont think that it is fair to lodge an FIR against anyone who is innocent, he maintained.
