KARACHI Danish Kaneria with six wicket-haul steered Sindh Dolphins to four-wicket victory over Punjab Stallions in the 10th and last league round match of the RBS Pentangular One-day Cricket here on Wednesday night at the National Stadium. The lanky spinner conceded 33 runs in 10 overs, three of which were maiden, as he bowled out Punjab Stallions for 199 in 46 overs. Khurram Manzoor and Shahzaib Hasan with their explosive batting gave the home team a good start. Sindh Dolphins posted 201 for six in 45.5 overs to maintain their unbeaten run in the championship. Khurram Manzoor scored 48 in 71 balls hitting six fours while Shahzaib Hasan made just 24 in 19 balls hitting five fours. Sindh Dolphins and Balochistan Bears have already qualified for the final sharing top two berths on the points table. Sindh collected maximum 16 points from four matches and Bears had 12 from three wins and a loss. The final was scheduled to played later on Thursday night. Danish Kaneria once again emphatically proved his utility in one-day matches. He won the man of the match award for his fine work. Sindh Dolphins started the contest confidently when they invited the opponents to bat after winning the toss. The decision paid off quickly and Punjabs most consistent batsman Nasir Jamshed was out without scoring. The visitors did not recover from that shock until Naeemuddin and Aamir Sajjad came on the crease. Naeemuddin with 73 in 99 balls and Aamir Sajjad with 64 in 93 balls helped their team to recover but Punjab collapsed for 199, four overs before their full quota of innings. When Sindh went for the target, Khurram Manzoor and Shahzaib Hasan gave them a good and confident start. Faisal Iqbal contributed 31 and Sherharyar Ghani 44 as the winners reached 201 for six in 45.5 overs.
