KARACHI PPP leader Zulfikar Ali Mirza said that President Zardari tried to contact him continuously for five hours but he deliberately avoided attending his call. Had he attended it, he would have to withdraw his decision, he added. Mirza said this in an exclusive interview with Waqt News here on Monday. I would apologize from Bilawal Bhutto as he and his father President Zardari - were great leaders, he said, adding he did not want to do politics anymore and whatever his leaders would ask him, he would obey them. Three prisoners had also been arrested for allegedly being involved in the killing of Dr Imran Farooq, he revealed. I had deliberately avoided to attend Zardaris call notwithstanding Khursheed Shah convinced me to attend the phone but my decision was final. After assuming the office of Sindh interior minister, my name was included in the hit-list of MQM. There was no traitor in the PPP, Mirza said, adding he would launch the movement for restoring peace in Karachi from Nine-Zero. The Sindh chief minister also phoned him, he added. Bilawal Bhutto would come into power after the next general elections, Mirza maintained, adding Dr Qadir Magsi had no status to talk to him. I was satisfied with the restoration of commissionerate system but the decision to scrap the system irked me, he said, adding Interior Minister Rehman Malik is vice chancellor of university of liars while Babar Awan is a student there. He claimed he could have ameliorated the situation in Karachi if he would have been the Sindh chief minister. Though Qaim Ali Shah was a good person, he was too cool, the former minister said. In reply to a question, he said the future of Sindh would be better. He said: I held the press conference after resigning from all the posts as I have announced retirement from politics. He said he would work on one-point agenda to wage fight for the right of the Sindhis. He said the MQM leaders were directing the people to purchase arms, which led to violence in the city.
