According to sources, Mullah was the sector in-charge of MQM in Liquatabad and was given the task of murdering Sabri by an important person of the party.
Following the interrogation, sources said the MQM worker had confessed that he shot dead the noted qawwal for not paying extortion to the party.
Amjad Sabri, a son of qawwali icon Maqbool Sabri who passed away in 2011, was gunned down after armed miscreants fired at his vehicle in the city's Liaquatabad area.
