Rokhri’s death widely condoled


LAHORE – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf, Chairperson PCB Women Wing Mrs Bushra Aitazaz and PCB COO Subhan Ahmed have extended their deepest condolences to the family of Amir Hayat Khan Rokhri on his demise.
Rokhri was a seasoned cricket administrator. He died due to cardiac arrest here yesterday. Rokhri was a role model for all cricket administrators and distinguished himself with his tireless efforts for the betterment of Pakistani cricket. His efforts and commitment to flourish cricket in Pakistan will never be forgotten.
He remained President of Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) for a long period. He was also the Secretary General of Pakistan Badminton Federation.
PHF president Qasim Zia and Secretary M Asif Bajwa have also offered heart-felt condolences on the sad demise of Amir Hayat Khan Rokhri.
They prayed that Allah Almighty may rest the departed soul in peace and also prayed fortitude for the members of the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
LCCA President Khawaja Nadeem Ahmad, Secretary Mian Javed Ali, Treasurer Sarfraz Ahmad and other LCCA officials and cricket organisers have also condoled the sad demise of former LCCA President Amir Hayat Khan Rokhri and prayed that may the departed soul rest in eternal peace and may Allah Almighty grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Football Federation President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat and secretary Col (retd) Ahmad Yar Khan Lodhi, Sports Writers Association of Punjab President Shahid Sheikh, Sports Journalists Association President Syed Ali Hashmi and association’s members, Pakistan Badminton Federation, all the cricket club organisers and other sports persons and organizations extended their condolences on Amir Hayat Khan Rokhri’s death.
