RAWALPINDI - Two young boys were killed during a road accident while a man received burnt injuries owing to gas leakage here on Saturday.
In the first incident, a speedy trawler crushed two youngsters to death at Murree Highway at 1:00am. The deceased identified as Rizwan hails from Gawalmandi and Ali Raza of Chuher Chowk.
According to details, Rizwan went Murree along with his family in his car to enjoy snowfall. On return, his car got dysfunctional on Murree Highway at 1:00 am and he called Ali Raza for help. After passage of some time, Ali reached there in his car along with two of his friends. The two friends were sent to fetch water from nearby village while Ali and Rizwan remained in the car. In the meanwhile, both the young boys came out from the car when a speedy trawler coming from behind wheeled them to death.
Police arrested the driver of the trawler and registered a case against him.
In Chaklala near Bilal Masjid, the area of Police Station (PS) Airport, a 50-years-old man Altaf son of Siddique received burnt injuries when fire engulfed his house suddenly. The Rescue 1122 told that gas leakage caused fire in the house injuring the man and burning other precious households. The man was shifted to Holy Family Hospital (HFH) by the rescuers, where his condition was stated to be critical.
