RAWALPINDI - Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Wednesday predicted that Prime Minister Imran Khan will complete his five years tenure without any doubt or danger. He said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan would not only complete its tenure but also would come to power once again. Sheikh Rashid said that hype was being created about Nawaz Sharif’s return arrival without any reason. 

“It does not make any difference whether he (Nawaz) comes back or not,” interior minister told reporters Wednesday. He went on to say that though each party asserts that the establishment patronise them, the establishment asserts that they will back the elected government.

He said that PM will inaugurate the Mother and Child Hospital next month after which it will be operational. Construction of new block of CDA hospital will start from March and people will be given jobs on merit, he said.

Sheikh Rashid Ahmed expressed these views while talking to media persons after paying a visit to Mother and Child Hospital here. 

Replying to a question about the PDM long march on March 23, the minister said that everybody knew that on March 23, the national parade was to be held in Islamabad and before the parade; roads were to be closed for preparation.

Special Assistant to PM on Health Dr Faisal Sultan, Secretary Health Ministry, Parliamentary Secretary Narcotics Sheikh Rashid Shafique and other senior officials   were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister on Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that construction will be allowed around Leh Nullah as per our plan. Investors should set up their business centres there so that people can get employment and poverty can be eradicated, he added. He said that his politics is about to complete 50 years and till date; he has not allowed any thug or land mafia in his city   because there is a government of the poor in this city. 

He said that Rs 105 billion would be spent on partnership and early tenders would be issued while Rs 31 billion would be spent on Ring Road Project which would be completed soon.

Special Assistant to the PM for Health Dr Faisal Sultan said that the scope of Health Card is being expanded, after which the health expenditure of the people will be reduced. The issuance of health card by the present government and Prime Minister Imran Khan for the convenience of the people is a historic step.

He said that it is a historic initiative of the present government which will change the lives of the people.  He said that the health card would be a reflection of an excellent service between the government and the people which would be further improved. He said that after Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, health cards would be introduced in the federation, Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir from January so that health cards could be issued to every citizen as spending on health was a huge burden for any family.

Responding to queries of media persons, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that every party wanted to be patronized by establishment but it was their decision to support elected government.

He said PTI, under the wise leadership of Imran Khan, is committed to resolve the basic issues of the masses on priority basis.
