Walk held to sensitise public to Influenza prevention

FAISALABAD

A walk was held here under the auspices of DHQ Hospital to raise awareness about the safety from Influenza disease.
The walk was led by PMC Vice Principal Dr Faisal Muhammad Ali Tirmzi, DHQ Hospital MS Dr Abdul Rauf and Additional MS Dr Habib Butter which was participated by Prof Amir Shoukat, Dr Muhammad Irfan, Dr Akmal Sharif, Dr Usman, doctors, paramedical staff and members of civil society.
The participants were carrying placards, banners inscribed with slogans regarding the fatal affect of Influenza diseases, its symptoms and precautions for safety.
The walk started from main building of DHQ Hospital and culminated at Kidney Centre after passing through different routes.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Faisal Muhammad Tirmzi said that Influenza disease is curable but the patient should timely reach hospitals. He said the best way to control the disease is to adopt precautionary measures and the patient should keep himself away from other health people. The patient should stay home from work, school and public places when he is victim of Influenza, he maintained.
He urged upon effective awareness campaign regarding prevention from Influenza disease for the information of general public.
