PML-Q in no mood to part ways with PPP

ISLAMABAD - The PML-Q would continue its support to the ruling PPP in the federal government and would further extend its cooperation in the provincial governments, party sources said while ruling out separation from the coalition. PML-Q does not want to destabilise the democratic system in the country and will do whatever would be in the interest of the country and democracy. The leadership has not taken any such decision to quit coalition neither it was under discussion in the party, sources said. They further said that the Q-League after being a part of provincial assemblies of Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan would soon join PPP in Sindh and KPK Assembly. Talking about the devolution process of the ministries under the 18th Amendment they told that the ministries allotted to PML-Q members would be devolved however some of their departments would remain with federal Government that would be headed by their ministers. MQM has quit federal cabinet and two ministries have been vacated, the party leadership may talk to PPP leadership for further extending its representation in the cabinet, they added. Meanwhile the political observers are of the view that PML-Q has further gained the weight after MQM quit the coalition and now are in better position to bargain with ruling PPP. They observe that the Q league will not part its way from the coalition as this alliance is in favour of both parties even in future as the focus of both parties for the next general elections was Punjab beside this alliance was the only option for Chaudhry brothers to stop their parliamentarian on their party platform. It is pertinent to mention here that it was the 2nd time when MQM quit its alliance with PPP in one year but this time it is being expected that it would not rejoin the PPP again and a big alliance of opposition parties was in forming to destabilize the PPP led Government for general elections in the country. There are reports that MQM chief Altaf Hussain has called PML-Q President Ch Shujat Hussain to join them on opposition benches.
