LAHORE The PML-Q will accelerate its activities regarding strengthening of the party base in Punjab from its camp office at State Guest House after getting new ministries in the departments, which are being devolved to the provinces under 18th Amendment, TheNation has learnt. PML-Q sources privy to the developments about speeding up strengthening partys base in the province, which otherwise eroded after the 2008 polls told TheNation on Wednesday that party leaders though informally launched a campaign for show of force in Punjab, however the 'real show would start after the new ministries for PML-Q parliamentarians. They informed that all the federal ministers would be given a schedule by partys Punjab chapter President Ch Pervaiz Elahi, for sitting at State Guest House to listen and resolve the problems of their party men and voters spread over across the province in a bid to give the impression of running a 'parallel government to their arch rival PML-N and to boost the morale of the party leaders and workers for the early preparations to the next general elections. Chaudhary Pervaiz has directed his close aide, Raja Basharat in the meanwhile to prepare a preliminary schedule for the party ministers for visiting camp office at State Guest House. It has been learnt that G M Sikander, a former civil servant will work as coordinator for ministries of industries, defence production and production with senior federal minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi. Pervaiz Elahi was looking after the ministry of production besides his own portfolios including industries and defence production after the resignation of Amir Muqam from federal production ministry. The PML-Q sources informed that partys top leadership had decided to woo back the angry party ranks, besides trying to bring the other Muslim Leaguers sitting on the fence to the PML-Q fold under the supervision of senior federal minister. While Raja Basharat, PM advisor on industries would assist Pervaiz Elahi for accomplishing partys targets regarding partys consolidation plan in the province. According to an earlier plan, PML-Q federal ministers would launch a campaign to achieve partys targets in Punjab.
